It has been an interesting month. High highs and low lows. While I could fill pages with the low points and all of my grumbles and complaints for the month I am still committed to taking time to focus on the things that made me happy, filled me with joy, and inspired gratitude. Why? It is so easy to remember the bad stuff , and spending too much time thinking about it refreshes those same icky feelings whereas spending time reflecting on the good stuff refreshes the good feelings that I really would like to feel over and over again.

So here are some of my happy things from this past month.
Really good voice lessons
A successful dentist appointment
Finishing my continuing education requirements for renewing my licenses
Fabulous massages
Filling my freezer with homemade soup

Taking time off work to spend composing music
Playing my harp at church
Starting new composition projects
Purchasing Christmas music for my harp (and starting to play it)
Getting a letter from an old friend
Cleaning out my closet
Learning a new piece on the piano

Exploring the possibility of retirement
Expanding availability in my private practice
Reading a really good book on tapping
Re-reading Carpe Now
Spending time in my hammock
Baking dog biscuits, including developing a new recipe
